Force Field Analysis: This publication describes a simple technique to help students address those things support or hinder their quest to reach their educational goals. It is a particularly effective way to get at those non-academic issues that so often stop students in their tracks.

People Like Us: Social Class in America: One of the "chapters" in this PBS video series is about Dana Felty, a young woman who talks about leaving her working class roots and going away to college. It's called "Don't Get Above Your Raisi'." It touches on some of that "living in two worlds" we discussed during the workshop.
