Teaching Math to Adults This is a pdf document. If you don't have Adobe, you can download it by clicking here.): This course is designed to enhance adult educators' understanding of effective instructional practices that are aligned with what we know about how people learn mathematics. Focusing on the teaching and learning of rational numbers (fractions, decimals and percents), students will consider how to adapt existing materials and will explore the use of online resources.

Effective Assessment in ABE/GED Programs (This is a pdf document. If you don't have Adobe, you can download it by clicking here.): In this course, students learn what constitutes effective assessment practices in ABE/GED Programs. Federal and State requirements are included, as well as approved tests and how to use them in your program.

Teaching Reading to Adults (This is a pdf document. If you don't have Adobe, you can download it by clicking here.): This course is designed to bring adult literacy professionals together to form a learning community focused on the teaching of reading in ABE and GED classrooms. Participants will discuss what they, as instructors, believe about teaching reading to adults and connect those beliefs to existing theory and related instructional strategies. Assessing learner needs and setting learner goals will also be discussed. Throughout the course, participants will share their personal experiences and successful strategies for multi-level reading instruction and will ultimately use one of three instructional approaches to design a lesson on one of the four major components of reading.

Principles of Adult Learning new!: This course is designed to familiarize instructors of adults about the theories, models, and principles of adult learning as well as the patterns of participation and methods of teaching adults.

Teaching ESL to Adults new!:
This course is designed to enhance adult educators' understanding of effective instructional practices in the ESL classroom.
