EAGLE Awards 2007
The 2007 Exceptional
Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) Awards were presented to the
outstanding adult literacy students in Georgia at the annual state-wide
Leadership Institute, held on February 8-9 in Atlanta.
The EAGLE program recognizes and honors students who have demonstrated
exceptional achievement in statewide adult literacy classes. The Awards
Program is designed to create a greater awareness of the educational
opportunities that are available in local communities across the state and
to foster involvement in lifelong learning pursuits. Students are
nominated by local teachers in public, private, and volunteer agencies.
